Setting it up, step by step
Decide which Apple device is the main screen
Sort this out first. If an Apple TV is your living-room box, set it up there and treat the iPhone as a spare. With no Apple TV in the house, an iPhone or iPad plus AirPlay to a compatible telly can stand in, which suits anyone who would rather not add a box at all. Whichever you land on, the one Orca4KTV login covers every Apple device you own.
Open the App Store
On the Apple TV it sits on the home screen; on an iPhone or iPad it is the familiar blue App Store icon. This is the only place Apple permits installs from, which is exactly why the choice is short but dependable.
Install a player and dodge the fakes
Search IPTV Smarters Player, iPlayTV or GSE Smart IPTV and install one. Smarters is free; the other two carry a one-off price and a smarter layout. Steer well clear of anything called TiviMato or Tivimax, because they are not TiViMate, and TiViMate has no Apple version to find.
Add your Orca4KTV login
Open the app, choose the Xtream Codes option, and enter the username, password and server address. An iPhone lets you paste each field straight from the WhatsApp thread, which sidesteps the typing slips that cause most failed logins on a fiddly on-screen keyboard.
Set up AirPlay for a second screen
From an iPhone or iPad you can AirPlay a live channel to an Apple TV or any AirPlay-capable telly in the same room. That is handy for carrying the second half through to the kitchen, or for throwing the racing onto a big screen without installing a thing on the telly.
Verify on a UK channel and the guide
Open BBC One or RTE One, confirm the guide fills in and reads correctly in GMT or BST, then play a Sky Sports or TNT Sports feed to check steady playback and, on the Apple TV 4K, a UHD picture where the feed carries one. If the channel list loads but a stream refuses to start, the player engine is the thing to change next.
If something will not play
The channel list loads but a stream will not start
Certain channels use codecs an Apple device decodes only under the right setting. In the app settings, switch the player engine to VLC or FFmpeg and try the channel again. This is the single most common Apple fix and clears the bulk of dead-picture reports on its own.
AirPlay stutters or keeps dropping from an iPhone
AirPlay leans hard on home Wi-Fi, and streaming a channel across it doubles the load. Keep the phone near the router, close other heavy apps, and where you can, cable the Apple TV to the router by Ethernet so only the phone leg travels wireless. On a congested network, playing straight on the Apple TV beats AirPlay every time.
The App Store shows no usable IPTV player
Apple occasionally pulls a player from a regional store. IPTV Smarters Player is the one most consistently around; if it is missing for you, check for an app update, or ask support on WhatsApp which player is currently live on the UK or Irish App Store, rather than looking for a way past the store.

Is there IPTV Smarters for Apple TV?
There is, on the tvOS App Store, and it costs nothing. The Xtream login is supported, with the guide, catch-up and on-demand sections all working. TiViMate, despite what the similarly named listings imply, genuinely is not on Apple TV, so Smarters or a paid player such as iPlayTV is the route on Apple kit.
Can I watch Orca4KTV on my Mac?
Three routes cover it: install IPTV Smarters Player from the Mac App Store, open your M3U link in VLC or IINA, or sign in to the browser web player. The Windows and Mac guide walks through each one, and all three read the same Orca4KTV credentials from your activation message.
