IPTV Smarters Pro: How to Install and Log In on Any Device

Where a house holds more than one kind of screen, IPTV Smarters Pro is the app to standardise on, for the simple reason that it is the one that runs everywhere. Android, Firestick, Apple, Samsung, LG, Windows and Mac all take it, it is free on every last one, and it reads the same three Orca4KTV values on each. It is not the best-looking player, and its guide is plainer than TiViMate's, but it is the player that is always there whatever hardware you set it in front of, and for a mixed household of tellies, phones and laptops that beats polish. This guide covers the install and, more usefully, the login and guide settings that decide whether it behaves.

Before you start

  • Any supported device: Firestick, Android, Apple, Samsung, LG, Windows or Mac
  • The three Orca4KTV values from WhatsApp: username, password and server URL

Setting it up, step by step

  1. Work out where it is going, and get it from the right place

Where you install from depends entirely on the device, so name the device first. On Android tellies and phones, the Google Play Store has it. On a Firestick, it needs a Downloader sideload, which the Firestick guide sets out step by step. Samsung and LG list it in their own stores under "IPTV Smarters". Apple owners look for "IPTV Smarters Player". For Windows and Mac, the installers come from the developer's own site and nowhere else.

    Sort your Orca4KTV login

  2. Choose Login with Xtream Codes API

On the opening screen accept the terms, then take the Xtream Codes option ahead of the M3U one. Xtream fetches the programme guide and the on-demand library by itself, where an M3U link often brings only channels. Unless support has specifically steered you to M3U, Xtream is the right pick every single time.

  3. Enter your Orca4KTV details

Name the profile anything, then type the username, password and server URL, keeping the http:// at the front and the port on the end, exactly as they landed on WhatsApp. Tap Add User. Watch the capitals, because username and password are case sensitive and a wrong case reads back as a rejected account.

  4. Let the guide load, then switch it on properly

The app downloads channels, on-demand titles and the programme guide now, and the guide can take a few minutes to fill, so give it more than the first thirty seconds before judging it. Once it settles, go to Settings, then EPG, and enable "Enable EPG on live TV" so the schedule shows while a channel is playing.

  5. Set the player for a steady picture

Under Settings, Player settings, pick the built-in player with hardware decoding. Should one channel stutter while the rest are fine, switch that single channel to software decoding from the player menu rather than touching the global setting, which would only slow down the channels that were working perfectly.

  6. Verify on a UK feed before you trust it

Open BBC One or RTE One, confirm the guide reads correctly in GMT or BST, then play a Sky Sports or TNT Sports channel to see a busier feed hold steady. A clean picture here tells you the app and the account are both sound, so you can repeat this exact setup on every other screen with confidence.

If something will not play

The app says "your account is expired"

That is the subscription hitting its end date, not a fault in the app. Renew on WhatsApp and the very same credentials start working again within minutes; nothing needs reinstalling and no favourites or settings are lost. If it says this on day one, the account has simply not been activated yet, so message support to check.

The channel list is empty after a successful login

Pull down to refresh, then sign out and back in. If it stays bare, something in the server address is wrong, with the port number the usual culprit and a stray trailing space the next. Retype the server field by hand once before you decide anything is amiss with the account itself.

The app keeps closing on a Firestick

Clear its cache under Settings, Applications, Manage installed applications, then reopen. If it still crashes, remove it and sideload a current build, because an old Smarters APK left on newer Fire OS is a familiar cause of repeated closures. A fresh install nearly always settles the matter.

IPTV Smarters Pro IPTV FAQ

Is IPTV Smarters Pro free?

On every platform, and it always has been. The thing that catches people out is that it opens completely empty: it carries no channels of its own and needs an Orca4KTV subscription entered as an Xtream login before a single one appears. Nothing is ever charged inside the app itself, so ignore any prompt that asks you to pay within it.

What is the IPTV Smarters Pro subscription?

It is not really a product in the way the phrase suggests. People searching it are after a service that works inside the app, and that is exactly what Orca4KTV is: an Xtream Codes account holding the full channel list and on-demand library, entered once and then running on every device you own. The app is the shell; the subscription is what fills it.

Smarters Pro or TiViMate, which should I use?

Smarters is free, simpler and runs on everything. TiViMate brings a far better grid guide plus recording and multi-view, for around $8 a year, and lives on Android alone. If the point is live sport across many channels, TiViMate pays for itself quickly on a Firestick or Android box; for everything else, and on any non-Android device, Smarters is more than enough.
